Diverse Journeys encourages and assists adult people, who, no matter their circumstances, wish to travel beyond the crossroads of their lives, and who are reassessing their inner directions.
Diverse Journeys Mission Statement
Diverse Journeys recognises the ongoing, developmental nature of a person’s spiritual journey. Diverse Journeys creates warm, respectful and fun places of exploration and training, and offers assistance to individuals, groups and organisations in spiritual and ethical development through:

- adult education,
- personal mentoring and spiritual direction,
- seminars, retreats, workshops,
- journeys to destinations of cultural diversity and spiritual richness,
- pro bono support of not-for-profit community-based organisations, and
- fund raising for specific women’s organisations in, for example, India that provide education and vocational training, clinical medical help, emergency food assistance and housing for some of the poorest of the poor
Meath Conlan, Ph.D.
Meath Conlan, founder of Diverse Journeys, is a spiritual director in private practice. He has specialist experience in inter-religious dialogue, midlife issues and contemplative spirituality. His workshops, seminars and retreats are offered for groups and individuals without discrimination as to age, ethnicity, religion, or orientation. Additionally he extends his professional activities through small-group travel to places of cultural diversity and spiritual richness (e.g. India, Nepal, Tibet, Thailand and Bali).
A published author (“Bede Griffiths: Friend & Gift of The Spirit” 2006, Templegate, Il.), Dr Conlan earned his Masters Degree at Fordham University in New York, and his Doctorate in Philosophy after reading Education and Social Sciences at the University of South Australia.
Dr Conlan’s professional experience in adult education, and spiritual direction spans thirty years. He is a member of Spiritual Directors International, the Australian Network of Spiritual Directors and of the International Institute of Alternative Therapies (Counselling). He also holds the Australian Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
Dr Conlan delivers retreats and seminars in Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia and the United States.
